History

For the first two years the Grandma Becky concert was held in private houses and by the second year each performer had to be limited to 2 guests. By the third year it was apparent that there were too many performers to fit into a house and so I started looking into hiring a hall. As this therefore incurred charges, I had to charge a minimal amount for tickets and at the end I found I had about £35 over after all the costs had been met. I decided to donate this to a local children's charity. By year 4 this amount almost doubled and I donated the profits to a different children's charity. Since the fifth concert in 2002, all profits have been donated to Great Ormond Street Hospital Childrens' Charity. To date we have raised a total of £4,255.84.
